Data Privacy Protection Act-GDPR and CCPA
GDPR is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states. CCPA - similar to GDPR is a state-wide data privacy law that regulates how businesses all over the world are allowed to handle the personal information (PI) of California residents.
Emerging technologies and evolving data privacy practices create challenges in
managing a global privacy program across the enterprise. The EU Cookie Directive makes clear that websites are accountable for all cookies and tracking mechanisms running on their site. The project aimed to implement GDPR policy on the website for being compliant with the new GDPR law, ensuring the display consent to setting cookies and zero cookie drop on page load.
